First, YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world after Google. And it belongs to Google. Therefore, Google wants you to use it!
Second, according to a Hubspot research, viewers are four times more likely to use YouTube to find information about a brand, product, or service. According to that same research, viewers say they’re twice as likely to buy something they saw on YouTube. Having your YouTube Channel is like having a second website, and more than that, a website that already enjoys preference from the Google algorithm. That means you can reach a whole new audience. Your videos will show up in search results when people are looking for services or products like yours, when many times your own website would not. YouTube videos can also drive traffic to your website. After viewing one of your videos, a viewer may feel motivated to click on that link in the description and check your website. Now you may ask, what about the videos I have on my website, won’t my YouTube videos be competing with them? And the answer is no, because your YouTube videos and your website videos should be one and the same. You should never upload videos directly to your website – among other disadvantages, that will make your website slower to load. You should post all your videos on YouTube and embed them on your website. That way, you will enjoy both worlds!
